River Kent

The Kent Angling Association control and manage 8 miles of double bank game fishing for salmon, sea trout, and brown trout.

The Kent is one of the fastest flowing, spring-run rivers in the country. As the river flows through the countryside, wildlife is abundant, including kingfishers, squirrels and otters. The river has many waterfalls, weirs, and pools, which migratory fish negotiate and will hold.

Killington Reservoir

A spectacular reservoir, located approximately 1 mile from Junction 37 of the M6 Motorway, situated in picturesque countryside, overlooked by the stunning Howgills. The large 37 acre reservoir is ideal for visiting anglers from North or South. The reservoir is rapidly becoming well known for the quality of the fishing, with roach, perch, bream, tench, eel, some very large pike and the occasional wild or stocked trout.

The reservoir has easy transport access, and offers great value, with fishing for both the coarse and game angler. The Fishery is open 365 days a year to members or day or season tickets. There is also a Motel at the Killington or Westmorland (Tebay) Services for overnight anglers.
