Get Involved In Your Club – Agm 2025 Wednesday 3rd December Kendal Town Hall 7.30pm
It is your club, and you can and should contribute to our future, so come on down to the AGM held at Kendal Town Hall, start time 7.30pm.
As well as our club info for 2025 and progress for 2026, we expect representation from the EA to update us on their news and discuss any changes to fishing regulations. Any junior members wanting to attend must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (who does not need to be a member of KWAA).
Catch Return Reminder

If you have not done it yet, please do. Senior members have done well in the return, however the same cannot be said of junior members.
These are important for our club. We need to report the river catch returns to the EA. These are needed for any restocking we may wish to do for trout and importantly to monitor the salmon and sea trout numbers. Please email these back to info@kentangling.co.uk.
If for any technical reason you cannot download the form, just email your return to info@kentangling.co.uk or post to Andy Rigg, 28 Castle Crescent, Kendal, LA97AN
EVEN IF YOU HAVE A ZERO RETURN IT IS A REQUIREMENT FOR YOUR CLUB MEMBERSHIP TO HAND IN A CATCH RETURN FORM!
Let us hope we don’t have to return to fining people for not handing in a catch return! This is still an option!
Junior Angling 2026. Polite Word Of Warning ☺
It is fantastic to see the rise in junior memberships during 2025, with now nearly 90 members. We are committed to keeping the same £20 price for junior anglers for 2026, which is probably the best game fishing junior membership deal in the UK… However, this must come with a respect to the KWAA rules.
- Any fishing on the Kent before May 1st must be fly only
- Juniors must fish with an adult present. If not, they are not covered by our insurance, so do so at their risk
- Each junior member must read, understand and follow KWAA rules and regulation book. This can be downloaded or picked up from Carlson’s
Any junior that fails to follow these regulations will be issued with a warning by the bailiff. Any second repeated similar offence, in one season, will result in membership being cancelled for that season and 2 following seasons.
IGNORANCE IS NO DEFENCE!
Killington Re-stocking 3000 Roach

Great news for the coarse anglers in the club. With many thanks to the EA, we are very pleased to say that another 3000 silvers have gone into Killington Reservoir. As many of you already know the water has improved dramatically over the last few years and is fast becoming a great Northwest fishing destination. For sure as well as the improving silver fish, there must be a monster pike in there, waiting for a lucky member!
Kendal Mountain Festival – First Ever Fishing Film Night – Friday 21st November
Fantastic to see the Kendal Mountain Festival is holding its first ever fishing film night this Friday at the Barrel House, Venue in Kendal at 6-30. The evening is being presented by our secretary Andy Rigg. As well as showing fishing films from all over the world Andy will also be talking about our wonderful river Kent, KWAA, fishing in the Lake District and the Kendal Fishhook. The KMF is a huge event for Kendal, bringing in 1000’s of people and an estimated £12,000,000 to our town!
